A good meeting with Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani, here on a 2-day working visit. He had visited Singapore before, but this is his first visit as President. He was keen to see what could be adapted from our policies, such as our public housing, for Afghanistan. He also spoke at the NUSS Dialogue this evening.
We also witnessed the signing of an MOU on Technical Cooperation. Hundreds of Afghan officials have visited Singapore to study our public service agencies and anti-corruption measures. We will continue to support Afghanistan’s development through the Singapore Cooperation Programme. – LHL
